Genesis: Intro to Joellee
Among the many things I've learned this year, one of the biggest has been this: you can't force anyone to care about you, show up for you, or meet you where you are. And honestly? It's been so freeing in letting go and leaving people where they are. For someone like me who's always fighting for people, checking in, showing up, and trying to keep the connection alive, sometimes you just have to get quiet. Because when you stop doing all the reaching, people's actions get real loud. You start to see who's genuinely been there and who was only connected because you kept the connection going. I’ve found so much peace in the silence and accepting people for who they are without feeling like it's my job to make everything work.
I'm still committed to growth, but I'm no longer fighting to fit. I'm choosing the freedom that comes with letting go. I'm still learning, evolving, being silly, turning tests in testimonies, and laughing all while enrolled in God's university for advanced education. Also know as the enlisting of God’s strongest soldiers. So this next chapter feels personal. Evolution isn't always linear. It's sometimes a little messy. A little organized chaos. A whole lot of growth and even genius. Honestly, I'm just exhaling with a little less weight on my shoulders.
To my newbies...welcome! You're in for a treat. To my day ones, thank you for rocking with me. Seriously! And to the watchers... keep watching!
I'm going to be a lot more vocal because I think it's finally time to let y'all in. There's more to me than pretty fashion pictures and a feisty, fiery personality. Were going to have the beautiful, uncomfortable conversations. We're going to laugh. We're going to learn. We're going to talk about life, growth, faith, relationships, purpose, and all the messy little spaces in between.
And hopefully, somewhere along the way, we'll get to know each other a little better.
Don't get it twisted.. I'm still a fashion baddie, Jesus girlie, tech connoisseur, creative over-loader, passenger princess, and somebody who loves to eat just as much as I love to cook.
I'm just letting you get a little closer now. So don't be shy. Don't hold back. Bring your story. your perspective, your questions, your lessons.
Your story is your story. And if we're doing this thing called life right, we're all evolving.
Ive learned to grow without forcing, love without chasing, and show up for myself with the same intention I've always had for everyone else.
A little lighter. A little freer. And still very much
